Weather report DTN Ag | Bot To News

DELTA (LOWER MISSISSIPPI RIVER LEVELS): More rain moved in over the weekend. A strong storm system moving in this week will not only bring widespread precipitation to the region, but will also bring widespread precipitation to the river systems that feed the Mississippi River, helping to keep water levels high through the end of the year.

BRAZIL (CORN/SOYBEANS): Scattered rains will continue in central and northern Brazil for the next week, as is typical for this time of year. A front is moving through the southern areas and increasing rains by Monday, but will move into the central states and stall on Tuesday and Wednesday. The drier conditions in the southern areas could start to create some stress as rainfall has been lower than normal for the last six weeks or so. Otherwise, generally favorable weather continues for most corn and soybean areas.

ARGENTINA (CORN/SOYBEANS/WHEAT): A front moved through the region over the weekend, ending the extreme heat wave that had been in the region for the past week. The rainfall was not very intense and the drought continues to have negative influences on the development and planting of corn and soybeans. Although this week will not be as hot, the region will be mostly dry. In general, conditions remain poor for corn and soybeans until rainfall becomes more consistent.

EUROPE (WINTER WHEAT): The weather will remain active this week with several systems advancing with periods of rain, especially in the south where wheat remains active. In general, wheat and other winter grains remain in good condition, whether or not they are dormant.
