The weather in New Jersey is very different and unpredictable.
I live in Central Jersey (yes, there is such a place) and I remember a few years when my husband cooked on the grill on Christmas Day in shorts and a t-shirt with temperatures in the 60s. Absolutely bitter cold and he didn’t want to stand outside and cook.
Mother Nature has to make up her mind.

For the past few years, Central Jersey hasn’t had that much snow in the winter months. Maybe a storm or two with enough snow to close schools for the day but nothing consistent. Not ideal for snow enthusiasts.
There’s a town in New Jersey that gets snow every year. In fact, according to Only in Your State, it’s considered the foggiest city in New Jersey. It is in Newtown, Sussex County.
Fun fact: Newton “receives the highest average snowfall in New Jersey each year with 37 inches,” the article says.
Aha.
I’m not sure if I’m jealous that I don’t live there (can you imagine how beautiful that would be?) or glad I don’t live there because I hate shoveling.
I can imagine that Newton was like a Hallmark movie at one point. I’d love to see it sometime.
Spring Street has shops and restaurants. O’Reilly’s Pub and Grill seems to be a popular spot.
Oh, don’t worry, they’re prepared for snow, and quite used to it, so the town won’t shut down when the little white flakes start falling in many places in other parts of New Jersey.
