Paramount Global announced Dec. 8 the launch of its branded Paramount+ subscription streaming video service in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Following its French debut on December 1st, Paramount now brings the brand’s global footprint to 45 markets.
At a celebrity event at UCI Luxe in Berlin, Paramount unveiled a first look at some of the studio’s premium content, including “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds,” “Yellowstone” prequel “1883,” German original “The Sheik.” ,” “Germany Shore,” “Spotlight,” and “Simon Beckett’s Chemistry of Death” are based on best-selling crime novels. Paramount also announced that a second season of “Yellowjackets” will debut in March. Launches Paramount+ Top gun: Maverick On December 22.
“2022 is undoubtedly a year of global expansion for Paramount+,” Marco Nobili, EVP and international GM of Paramount+, said in a statement. “We are now streaming in key markets in North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia, Australia and soon India.”
Paramount+ ended the most recent fiscal period with 67 million subscribers.
