NJ Weather: Mild temperatures, dreary conditions today. Forecast of the last weekend. | Bot To News

One more day of unsettled and dreary weather awaits New Jersey before drier conditions set in as temperatures remain mild for December.

Forecasters say we can expect drizzle, fog and overcast skies Wednesday as temperatures climb into the upper 50s across much of the state.

Some additional light rain is possible overnight as the lows drop to the 40s, but they will still be in the low 50s around midnight. Depending on how quickly temperatures drop before Thursday begins, the National Weather Service says New Jersey could flirt with some records for the warmest low temperature on December 7.

Temperatures at this time of year usually range between 30 and 40 degrees.

The New York Weather Service office, which covers Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Union and Passaic counties, forecasts a cloudy day with rain in the morning and a chance of rain in the afternoon.

Thursday’s highs will still be above average but a bit cooler, in the low 50s.

Thursday night will be cooler with temperatures dipping to 30 degrees by sunrise on Friday.

Friday’s forecast calls for sunny skies and highs in the upper 40s. A little rain is possible Friday night, mostly in South Jersey. Temperatures will be about the same on Saturday, but conditions will be mostly cloudy. There is a chance of rain on Sunday as the highs climb back to over 40.
