MINIMUM TONIGHT: UPPER 50/LOWER 60
MONDAY HIGHS: years 60/70
Mostly cloudy and mild start to the week on Monday. Temperatures will struggle to get out of the 60s into the afternoon.
NEXT GENERATOR WEATHER (associated large surface cold front and upper level low) arrives Tuesday night and heads toward Tuesday night/Wednesday morning.
There will be a threat of severe storms with this system.
Potential hazards here in Acadiana include damaging winds and the possibility of a couple of isolated tornadoes.
However, the dynamics of some stronger tornadoes will be more favorable for northern areas.
Also, there is a slight risk of excessive rainfall, so we will have to monitor the possibility of flash flooding in certain areas.
A MUCH cooler pattern will then take shape for the remainder of the 10 day period.
We will talk about maximums in 50/60 and minimums in 30/40.
Get those jackets and coats ready!
Have a good week.
