GRAND RAPIDS – The holidays and New Years usually come with a lot of going out or parties and you can feel the stress of not knowing what to wear. Two local experts help us! Meet Sarah and Leah or better known as the Two Scoops of Style on social media platforms as they are local influencers helping us dress for success.
Two Scoops of Style began when identical twin sisters Leah and Sarah moved away from each other for the first time years ago.
“We need a project that gets us talking every day and has some sort of creative outlet together,” said Leah Brzyski, co-founder of Two Scoops of Style.
Leah moved to Connecticut and Sarah is still in Grand Rapids 4 years later. 2 Scoops of Style has over 150K followers on Instagram and some viral Tik Toks that help us keep our closets fresh and on trend.
“We wanted to help educate our fans and also encourage them to live their vibrant styles and that fashion is a way to have a creative outlet and show who you are,” Brzyski said.
With more and more holiday parties coming up, it’s hard to find that alluring outfit, but two style cues say it’s easy…
“A really good place to start is with some solids that you can mix and match throughout the year. And you don’t feel like you can only wear it for one month out of the year and then it’s stuck in your closet,” she said. Sarah Allmon, co-founder of Two Scoops of Style.
They say add some festive accessories with pops of color, bows, pearls and velvet or some of this season’s trendy pieces leaning on the popular boxy look.
“A blazer, oh, a pair of white button-down loafers and maybe a pair of mom jeans that you feel really good in,” Allmon said.
No matter the occasion, Two Scoops of Style says fashion is about how you wear it. If you are confident, you will look your best! Both Leah and Sarah say you don’t need to break the bank to get these trendy looks, as you should invest in a few basic pieces instead of multiple looks and saving is a great option too.
