Jim Caldwell Forecast | Wet weather will lead to change | Bot To News

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – The next few days will remain quiet. By mid-week, showers will fill our skies.

Don’t be fooled by the quiet start of the week, it will become much more action packed in the middle and at the end of it. You will find daytime highs that work normally for the start of the week. That means some will see highs in the mid-40s to mid-50s to get things rolling.

A fairly powerful system will end in the next few days. You should drive with some pretty strong gusts of wind on Wednesday. I think those speeds could go up to 30-35 MPH. Keep in mind the rain and we have a messy road. The initial batch of showers will blow through the early part of the day. Probably just before dawn on Wednesday those showers will arrive. There could be some gusty thunderstorms in the mix.

After the front leaves, the cold air will find us all. This shot should bring our temperatures down to the 30’s for highs. Add humidity to the equation and you have some snow mixing Friday and Saturday.

Take care of each other!
