After months of waiting, ITVX has finally launched on devices including Amazon’s popular Fire TV Sticks, Samsung TVs, Freeview and Sky Glass. The new streaming platform, which replaces the aging ITV Hub, promises viewers more content than ever before, and the chance to watch without paying a penny for the privilege.
In fact, since its launch on December 8, ITV says it can now enjoy 10,000 hours of free programming. The platform drops new and exclusive shows every week of the year and many shows are available to watch before they air on terrestrial channels.
And it’s not just series and box sets, there are 250 movies, including all the Back to the Future and Despicable Me movies, all of which can be watched without paying a penny.
As well as the free way to watch, ITV has also introduced a premium option which costs £5.99 per month. Subscribers not only get the option to download content to watch on the go but also the ability to skip ads.
The price of £5.99 includes full access to Britbox, which includes extra shows, dramas and movies from ITV, the BBC and more.
If you prefer tuning in to ITVX, the service has plenty of ways to watch content.
Smartphones, TVs, tablets, streaming boxes and Sky have all agreed to add the new app, making it easier for customers.
