(FOX 9) – Saturday will be cloudy and wet with lingering fog and mixed precipitation that could leave roads occasionally slippery in the Twin Cities.
There was a light dusting of snow in the Twin Cities Friday night through Saturday morning. Precipitation is expected to continue as occasional pockets of drizzle and light gusts will move across parts of the metro during the day. Mixed precipitation could create slippery patches on the roads, so drive carefully.
The system is expected to clear this afternoon, but the clouds will stay.
The start of the weekend will be bleak with heavy cloud cover holding through the day leading into Sunday. The maximum on Saturday will be around 35 degrees.
Looking ahead, Sunday will remain cloudy but drier, with a maximum temperature of 36 degrees. Monday will be calm before another storm system between Tuesday and Wednesday, bringing a rainy winter mix. Expect a cool down by the end of the week, with highs in the 20s on Friday.
